I thought I made up the “shut up just shut up” lullaby. So bummed about my copyright infringement I also long for the day when I can open the back door and yell “free! you are free! now don’t come back until dinner… tomorrow”

I had to go to the riddle and if I were that man I’d have to let them eat each other.

And sometimes I do the same with my kids. Sometimes I put the two who are fighting up in the same bedroom so they can duke it out.

So far they haven’t eaten each other.

It's so encouraging to hear it gets better, and it's even nicer to know I'm not the only one that feels guilty for not doing all sorts of stuff (playing outside more often, crafts, etc) with my kids .-= Jayme´s last blog ..Woot! =-.

I laughed really hard at the "please shut up" lullaby. I remember those days well. The dream of having them play outside with minimal risk of ingesting a poisonous caterpillar or a UPS truck smooshing them into bits will be here before I know it. And I'll be wishing all this back. The first time one of my daughters dressed herself for school I came to a standstill… “What? My little girls can do things for themselves?? YIPPEE!!!” So while life isn’t necessarily easier, the challenges are different and sometimes a lot less stressful!

Don’t tempt me with all your “life gets so much easier as they get older” talk when I’m jonesing for a baby. Next thing you know it I’ll be knocked up again (which would make numero quatro for us) and I’ll have to reference your “solitude while your children chase each other with sticks in the backyard” as a major contributor to our four under five madness!
