Second comment here...

I was told once that 90% of all tantrums, at this age, last less than 2 minutes ... and that they are much more stressful on the mom's than anyone else (especially when they happen in a public place) ... AND they are very likely to occur in a public place if your child figures out that it can become their exit strategy if they don't want to be there.

Once I absorbed that, I thought I could weather anything that only lasted two minutes.

I have found this is indeed true ... with 2 of my 3 children.

Luckily, this stage passes quickly and it is not constant.

oooooo....I hope you don't regret saying that the twos aren't so terrible the way I did!!!! I was posting comment after comment on blogs that I frequent about how the terrible twos weren't terrible at all and then we hit 2.75. All bets were off and I ate my words. But all kids are different. Your girls are beautiful. My girlies will be three at the end of this month. And I added a third baby (COMPLETELY UNPLANNED) three months ago and so far it's been totally do-able. I highly recommend it! Having a singleton after twins has been a breeze. And I don't think I will EVER forget the sleep deprived hell that was my life when the girls were babies! Good luck and Happy Birthday to your beautiful girls!

Happy Birthday to your babies!!!

I agree ... 2 is much better than 1, 2.5 is another leap ... mine turned 3 yesterday ... they are so much fun ... not perfect, really fun.

My older daughter just turned 4 and she is a non-stop variety show ... can't wait for the twin entertainment to start.

Yep--I think two is fantastic too. And it just gets better for us. My guys are 2.5 this week and they are so much more fun than they were even at 2.
